About the Journal
Focus and Scope
Jurnal Tanah dan Sumberdaya Lahan (Journal of Soil and Land Resources) aims to share current research trends, experiences, and research practices among scientists, industry, communities, and policymakers related to soil and land resources. Jurnal Tanah dan Sumberdaya Lahan provides original research results and reviews on all aspects of soil and land resources, which include biogeochemistry, ecosystem structures and functions, pedology and land information system, soil and water quality, soil biology, soil chemistry, soil fertility, soil physics, and sustainable soil and land management.
Peer Review Process
There are two or more expert reviewers for each manuscript on the related topic in the reviewing process. In addition, the author(s) can also propose the candidate of reviewers. Judgment from the first reviewer will be the main priority for the Editor to make a decision if there are only two reviewers. A reviewer may take four to eight weeks to complete one round of the reviewing process.
Generally, the reviewers will be chosen based on their reputation in the publication number and quality. Next step: The Editor sends the invitation letter to each reviewer candidate. After the candidate of the reviewer informs their availabilities for the reviewing process, the Editor creates an account for each reviewer and then sends the manuscript by OJS.
All reviewing processes are in double-blind peer review and managed by an editor in the OJS. The submitted manuscripts must address scientific merit or novelty appropriate to the focus and scope. All manuscripts must be free from plagiarism contents. All authors are suggested to use plagiarism detection software for similarity checking. Editors check the plagiarism detection of articles in this journal using Turnitin software, with the maximum acceptable similarity index is 20%.
Publication Frequency
Jurnal Tanah dan Sumberdaya Lahan (Journal of Soil and Land Resources) is published in a single volume every year. Each volume consists of two issues, normally published in JANUARY and JULY. In addition, special issues consisting of a collection of papers dealing with a specific theme (e.g., proceeding of scientific conferences) may also published. Open Access Policy
This journal provides immediate open access to its content on the principle that making research freely available to the public supports a greater global exchange of knowledge.
The journal is open-access, meaning all content is freely available without charge to users or / institutions. Users are allowed to read, download, copy, distribute, print, search, or link to full-text articles in this journal without asking prior permission from the publisher or authorr. This is in accordance with the Budapest Open Access Initiative.
Archiving
This journal utilizes the LOCKSS and CLOCKSS systems to create a distributed archiving system among participating libraries and permits those libraries to create permanent archives of the journal for purposes of preservation and restoration.
Plagiarism
Authors should submit only original work that is not plagiarized and has not been published or being considered elsewhere. Turnitin or other software will be used by the editorial team to check for similarities of submitted manuscripts with existing literature.
